Day 3 has been declared a fishing day due to overcast skies and light rain. Some of us went fly fishing and some went trolling on the lake. The score was 2 zip to the trollers.
Day 4 is still overcast with light drizzle and will be cancelled.
Again the overcast cleared late in the day, too late to set a task and get all the gliders launched and settled which takes about an hour. We cancelled the day and most pilots went free flying at about 3 o\'clock. The Wellington pilots Dane, Grae, Martyn and Warren flew North into the Waikato for about a 300km flight while others went to the East and the South. The strong wind and overcast skies turned to reasonable conditions and the twenty three competitors all launched without a hitch, some launched several times. Conditions were not expected to be great so we set a 150km to 370km AAT and only 5 of the 17 Open Class pilots got around and none of the Club Class.
