Day 2 - 30 November
The second day here at the competition in Narromine brought blue skies andexcellent visibility. Cumulus clouds started forming before 9am.
Separate tasks were set for all classes. The main weather concern for the daywas that overdevelopment would bring rain and end competition early. However,all gliders landed back at Narromine and the results are now available on theTask & Results pages.
Dane Dickenson in standard class is a visiting pilot form New Zealand. His club is Wellington but he usually flies atOmarama as he is studying at Dunedin. He is flying theNarromine GC Discus and despite electrical problems in flight came third today.Watch out for more news from Dane.

DAY 1 29 November
Due to weather, the first day of the contest was called off. A complex low pressure system south of Narromine brought rain to the south and strong winds mixed with smoke and dust haze to Narromine. Visibility on the ground at briefing was very bad and a decision on grid time was delayed until mid day. When the briefing resumed, Col Turner announced the decision to cancel the day. Practice Day 28 November
Forty two competition entrants attended the briefing for the practice day of the 2009 NSW State Championships.
