Day 2 Wednesday 4th January
The day started overcast, lightning, rain even up to 10am By 11.15 it had cleared and sunny. All classes gridded by 12.30 and 20M class launched followed by Standard and Club last. Last minute changes were made to extend the circle for Sport class to fly a little further and Club class to get around a little slower. Day 1 a strong high day
most Sports Class have returned. Club Class have also mostly landed. One cheery individual noted, "It was nice to be getting warmafter being cold under the Cu all day"! Climbs have been to 13,000 some at 12+knots Results are now starting to come in. It is still 40 degrees

Competition Day One (Tuesday 3rd January)
Launching is expected to be at 12.30. All three classes are tasked to fly a 2.5hour AAT. Benalla, Numurkah, Rennie, Winton & Benalla. It is a 186km, 228km, 471km (min, mid, max) with a 100km wedge at Numurkah. It is already hot at 35 degrees with a possible high of 40. Thermals may go to 12,000... with possible thunder activity late in the day. Yesterday's practice day was a safe day with good outcomes for all pilots.
