Ieri alle 18,30 il direttore di gara, Franca Vorano, ha dato inizio a questa nuova competizione che vede iscritti una trentina di piloti di cui nove sono stranieri. Ha inoltre presentato il Tenente Colonnello dell’Aeronautica Guido Cante che ci supporterà ogni mattina con i briefing meteo. Oggi la giornata si presentava buona sia secondo la previsione del Tenente Colonnello, sia guardando il cielo durante i decolli, e in effetti non si è smentita! Le termiche erano forti: 3 o 4 m/s, ma talvolta rotte probabilmente dal vento debole e di direzioni variabili. Le basi erano fino a 3300m QNH. Verso Rivisondoli i cumuli coprivano il cielo per i 6/8. Dal Gran Sasso era visibile una bella convergenza oltre il monte Vettore che però si trovava un po’ fuori dal percorso di gara. A domani, Clara

Yesterday at 18.30 the Contest Director, Franca Vorano, started this new competition. There are thirty competitors, nine of them are foreigners. She also introduced the Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Guido Cante that will support us every morning with weather forecast. Today the sky appeared very good for soaring and also the forecast by the Lieutenant Colonel were positive, in fact it was a fun soaring day. The thermals were strong: 3 or 4 m / s, but sometimes broken by the wind that was weak with variable directions. The plafond’s cumulus was up to 3300m QNH.
