They say it is wet in Queensland....

It is also wet here but we are at least warm and happyish...

The cloud base is at 3000 feet and there has been drizzle until 2pm.

As a result the first day of contest has been cancelled.

No racing today.

Yesterday saw only one competitor in the practice day get around the course.

That was from the Sports Class. Club Class launched about 45 minute later and all frinished equal 1st...... best distance was 45km..... 4 outlandings (3 at airfields)

Peter Temple at this mornings briefing said "Every one else turned away from the rain... and I went through it and just 'trickled' my way around". Others said "If they knew there was a bottle of wine at the end they would have tried harder!"
